1956 – Born on the 6th of May.

1968 – The Mitsotakis family fled to Paris to escape the military dictatorship that ruled Greece.

1974 – They returned to Athens when military rule collapsed.

2003 – Voted by the majority of the voter to win in the mayoralty race in Athens (1st female mayor).

2004 – Dora successfully hosted 2004 Olympic games, and was the first woman to serve as mayor of a city hosting the Games.

2005 – She was elected World Mayor.

2006 – Appointed by Kostas Karamanlis to serve as Foreign Affairs Minister.
