1911 – Allen was born in Atlanta, Georgia on the 5th of March.
1929-1933 – Attended and earned his degree in business administration at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
1936 – Married Louise Richardson on the 1st of January.
1941-1945 – Served in the US Army during World War II, he started as a second lieutenant and was discharged as a major.
1947 – Headed the Atlanta’s Community Chest drive.
1960 – He was elected President of the Chamber of Commerce.
1962-1970 – Won the election and became the Mayor of Atlanta. He established the Atlanta Falcons, a National Football League team and the Atlanta Hawks, a professional basketball team.
1981 – Received the Martin Luther King Jr. Nonviolent Peace Prize.
2003 – Died in Sandy Springs on 2nd of July.
