1794 – She met John Quincy Adams in London.

1797 – She was married to John Quincy Adams in All Hallows-by-the-Tower.

1801 – She arrived in the United States for the first time.

1809 – She took two-year-old Charles Francis Adams to Russia, where she served as a Minister.

1814 – She called for peace negotiations to Ghent and then to London.

1817 – Her drawing room became a center for the diplomatic corps and other notables.

1831 – Her husband began seventeen years of service in the United States House of Representatives.

1847 – They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Quincy.

1848 – Her husband died at the U.S Capitol.

1852 – She died on the 15th of May in Washington, at the age of 77.
